1/25: GREETINGS FROM NAMM IN ANAHEIM

Greetings from my first ever NAMM here in non sunny CA. I’m about to head into the Expo area for the first time in a few minutes. I’ll be at the Samson booth, which will be my home base, today at Noon. Just about every musician I have ever known is here. Just amazing! Tons of friends and TMS fans EVERYWHERE. o grateful for all the amazing love and support for my shows. Today should be pretty crazy.I’ll be tweeting as much as I can next 2 days from the NAMM floor so be sure to follow.

The Dee Snider roast was a blast last night. Hope you caught it on AXS TV. Lot of great barbs tossed around all in great fun and Dee was a great sport. Thanks to Revolver & Guitar World for having me as a part of it. Again, SO many people hard to write about here. Also caught the tale end of the Bonzo Bash, which is a real cool drum tribute to John Bonham headed by the great Brian Tichy. Really really cool concept! I hear many more shows are coming for this including on the east coast so you will be hearing more about it soon.

Also saw Frank Hannon’s solo band for the first time. Also really good.

I know who the new Whitesnake drummer is, most will be happy.

More changes in the Tate Queensryche. Blotzer and Drover out, Robert Sarzo and Simon Wright in from what I am hearing. Both Tate and other version of Ryche were at the roast last night but non Tate version bailed. Geoff told me KK Downing will be on his Queensryche album as a guest. The drama in this situation is pretty nuts to say the least.

More from NAMM as I can post. Keep up to the second @EddieTrunk on Twiter.

Q104 show all new tonight at 11P ET, just not live.
