12/23: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, LATEST UPDATE ON ALL KINDS OF STUFF!

Hope everyone is doing good and ready for Christmas! Everything full steam ahead here at the Trunk house. We host family for Christmas Eve, then to my Mom’s Christmas day. Great time of year even though it was 65 degrees last couple days here in NJ. But temps dropping now so feeling “normal” again! Hope you all have a happy, healthy safe Christmas for those that celebrate with your loved ones this week. A few quick things:

*Don’t forget the TMS Christmas party with me, Don & Jim that was postponed due to snow will happen this Saturday 12/28 at Dingbatz in Clifton NJ! Free tickets to Schenker at Starland while supplies last.

*I am coming to Houston! Just announced date 2/8 at Concert Pub NORTH. I’ll be doing a one man show telling stories, taking questions, live trivia with prizes and a book signing at the end. Plus live music. More dates TBA.

*Still tons of reaction and discussion on Kiss and the HOF on my comments section. One thing seems many are confused by. You can play with a band but that does not mean you were inducted. Who is actually inducted vs who joins and plays with the band are two different things. TONS of people jam at the HOF that are not included in actual induction.

*My KISSmas special that aired last weekend on Q104.3 with Ace Frehley airs on all my affiliates this weekend at the dates and times listed. This is the case with EVERY FM show I do on Q104.3. It will also be available on this site for members On Demand. Station list and streams here: http://eddietrunk.com/live-and-on-the-air/eddie-trunk-rocks/

*This Friday on Q104.3 NYC is my final special year end show spotlighting all music from 2013. SiriusXM show returns live 1/6/14.

*Thanks to all who ordered signed personalized copies of my books. Don’t forget the new book is now available as well straight from me signed. Hit book tab on the site for order info. Both books available now anywhere books are sold physical and digital. Also the sale in my merch store ends 1/1, so be sure to grab something now before the discount expires!

*TMS is back with ALL NEW shows starting 1/18 on VH1C from NYC. Guests TBA soon. Many cool and first time guests coming. Ticket info for the audience was released by VH1 and is online.

*Got a text from Rob Halford today saying to wish all my audience Happy Holidays and new Priest coming in 2014. Thanks Rob! Message delivered.

*MANY news shows added to my Presents list. Take a look and listen to my shows to win to get in as well.

Merry Christmas to all and thanks for your support as always! More soon. Off to play with my kids and the trains under the tree!

thaks for the all the hard work you do to keep up all up to snuff on the Metal scene…Marry Christmas & Happy Metal New Year!!!

  2. Greg hallett says:

Eddie since Kiss is gime time get inducted what are the chances that Motley Crue will get inducted now ?

  3. Dylan Shelton says:

Merry Christmas, Edward ! And I will definitely be seeing you in Houston !

  4. If Gene and Paul pull any nonsense regarding the placement of Eric and the other one in a greater role than Ace and Peter, the Kiss Army will be brutal to the current line up. It will get ugly.

  5. How did the train thing turn out? Pictures?

  6. Have a Merry “Metal” Xmas, Eddie!! I really can’t wait to watch the new season of “That Metal Show.” :)

  7. Chris Petry says:

You’re absolutely right Eddie. It’s usually the original and or most popular line-up that gets inducted first. For instance when Sabbath was inducted, I’m pretty sure Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice were not inducted! Despite the fact Purple was passed over yet again I’m happy KISS finally got it. Long time coming for both bands. It gives me some optimism for the future. A day when Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Motley Crue, Uriah Heep, and the late great Ronnie James Dio finally get their recognition from those guys. If they don’t, I won’t sweat it. We (metal heads) are doing just fine without them.

And by the way, just got Vol. 2 of ‘Eddie Trunk’s Essential Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.’ Stay heavy!

  8. How about getting Eddie Van Halen, or DLR for a guest appearance on That Metal Show !

    • Love to! You have a way to make it happen? We only ask EVERY season! As an FYI they turned down Letterman, Leno and Rolling Stone last album. Sadly doubt they are running to TMS.

  9. Todd Fagan says:

Seems that you are also confused. The Hall usually inducts the Original most famous version of a band. Then the band will ask the RARHOF to include other members.

    • Right! And they can be included at times but does NOT mean they were inducted. Heart played with original and then current band. Only original went in!

  10. Beth Milligan says:

Now that your coming to Houston, (ON my birthday, just so you know!) Let us know what kind of beer you want. Looking forward to seeing you there!

  11. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EDDIE! AS FAR AS KISS PLAYING (IN MAKEUP), I AGREE WITH ACE WHOLEHARTEDLY! AS FAR AS BEING THERE/ACCEPTING THANKS ON STAGE, HOPEFULLY EVERYONE CAN SAY A WORD OR 2 (BRUCE KULICK, VINNIE VINCENT).

  12. SPEAKING OF WHICH, ANYONE KNOW WHAT VINNIE VINCENT IS UP TO? GREAT GUITAR PLAYER!

  13. Beth Milligan says:

just got my two tickets to see you Feb.8!! Wow, what a great birthday that makes!!! Husband and I to see you and fill up on mudbugs and beer!!! Dinner offer at the house stands should you have the time… Merry Christmas! Give your parents an extra kiss from me. My parents gone for over ten years now. Still miss them…

  14. Merry Christmas to you and your family Ed!!

  15. Dale Barak says:

Hey Eddie, now that the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is finally getting their act straight, who do you think has a better chance of getting in, Iron Maiden or Judas Priest? I would give the nod to Judas Priest based on their ‘metal gods’ status amongst many of us, even though Iron Maiden has a much broader audience around the world. Priest can no longer fill the venues like Maiden can around the world but I think their music (JP) is more in line with the music that made them so popular. The HOF always uses the phrase ‘musical influence’ to quantify the induction of some of the lesser known members (i.e., Laura Nyro, Spooner Oldham). Who has had more ‘musical influence’ than Rob Halford? Interested in your thoughts and anybody else who would like to chime in. Thanks.

  16. FitzyfromEngine50 says:

Eddie lots of rumors of a Kiss Dynasty Tour with original members which was also known as”The Return of Kiss”, Eddie you hear anything on this?

  17. Luke E Lee says:

Just heard Robbie Kneival mention on the radio, He has been signed to the Kiss 40th Reunion Tour to do a motorcycle jump before each show!
