11/25: BACK FROM TX & OK, HUGE UPDATE, READ!

Back from a great week on the road in the Dallas area and through parts of Oklahoma for book signings. Everything went well and I appreciate everyone who came out to have their stuff signed or pick up my books. Ran out of the 1st book around half way through the dates. Amazed at how many VOL 1 I am still seeing purchased out there, so thanks. All the events were different. Trees in Dallas was before and during Overkill/Kreator, McKinney was really cool at a great guitar shop called Guitar Sanctuary in a theater. That was a long fun Q&A and a full house! Also did one with Jesse DuPree and Jackyl in OKC and hit Ardmore and a cool club called Two Frogs. Wrapped up Saturday night in Tulsa at Hard Rock Casino. I thank all the venues that hosted me and all the people that came out. In addition to books people asking me to sign all kinds of stuff these days, including books I’m in, liner notes of albums I’ve written, etc. Really cool and fun to meet everyone. I have another signing in PA this Saturday starting 4P at Gr8Soundz Music in Hellertown PA from 4-6. Mike Portnoy sitting in with me on this one! Books signed and sold and Megadeth plays later that night at Sands Casino! Don’t forget my new and first book is still available in stores and digital anywhere books are sold and make a great Christmas or holiday gift. Signed copies of book 1 available direct from me on this site signed. Hope to do that with VOL 2 soon. Hope to do more signings next year as my schedule permits as well in new cities.

Headed to Silver Spring Maryland tomorrow to shoot something with Lamb Of God for their amazing new documentary coming out soon. Details when I have them. Thanks to band, management and label for the opportunity to be a part of it.

A week from tonight I’ll be hosting a Wounded Warriors fund raiser for Wall Street Rocks at Irving Plaza in NYC. Sugar Ray and more will perform. It’s a night or music for a great cause. Mark McGrath is actually a huge metal fan and will call in to my SiriusXM show tonight to discuss this event and more.

Headed to Costa Rica next week to host a big metal festival. My first time going there. Look forward to visiting another country where TMS is seen!

Great response to the new Jake E Lee I premiered this past Friday on the Q104 show. It airs on all affiliates this weekend. I’ll also play it on my SiriusXM show live tonight!

Loving all the comments and debates that I see posted on this site. As long as everything is respectfully stated all are approved regardless if I agree or not. Good forum!

When I have news on TMS ticket availability, guests, etc, I will post here, Twitter & FB. First show shot 1/14.

RIP Eric Carr and Freddy Mercury. We lost both 22 years ago yesterday. Eric was a dear friend who I miss to this day.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, more soon. Join me LIVE tonight 6-10P ET on SiriusXM 39 TRUNK Nation!

Thanks Eddie – My son and I were at the Guitar Sanctuary signing in McKinney last week. We were both amazed at how down to Earth you were spending more than an hour answering questions that you have probably been asked a million times. It was easy to see how much you love the bands as we do. Thanks again and taking the time to have a photo together with the 3 of us. Your shows and metal keep it going..

  2. Hey Ed – Read the new book – Great job – Love the Sirius XM & Q104 shows. Can you open tonight’s show or play this tonight: “Spreading the Disease” from Queensryche……haven’t heard it in a awhile – thanks

My wife and I were at the Hard Rock in Tulsa. It was a pleasure to meet you. We recently moved from the north central part of Pennsylvania to Tulsa and meeting you was a highlight of our move so far. Just wanted to say thanks again. Hopefully we’ll see you at Rocklahoma next year. Till then can’t wait for the new season of that metal show. On a side note Jim and Don wouldn’t be as cool if it wasnt for you. Lol

  6. Eddie, thanks for the remembering on Freddie Mercury and Eric Carr…I can’t believe it’s been 22 years. On Saturday, I popped in my DVD of Queen Live at Wembley and watched it. What a performance.

I’m getting ready to watch MNF and my Niners play the Redskins, and hoping for a win. I’m not a Giants fan, but I really wanted them to beat the Cowboys who I absolutely loathe. I know it’s been a rough year but in the NFC East nothing is for certain yet.

  7. Chris Topolinski says:

I listen to you on: Q104.3, KNAC(if i missed the live show), Sirius Xm. I must add, if it wasn’t for your show on Sirius Xm I probably wouldn’t have satellite radio. I do wish Dish Network would put VH1 Classic on the lower tier programs, I miss watching that. I looking going to your site and signing up as a member. I really enjoy someone who appreciates this genre of music.

  8. Eric Carr is my favorite KISS drummer. He is great on Creatures Of The night. They should have stuck with that sound through the eighties. I Love It Loud !! RIP Eric Carr \m/

  11. Eddie – great to see you doing work with Wounded Warriors. That is a fantastic organization and those guys certainly deserve our support. Don’t know if you’ve ever considered it, but you’d make a great addition to any USO tour. You could use your connections to talk some great musicians into doing it too, and you would never find yourself appreciated more than you would by our brave men and women serving overseas.
