10/22: WEEK 1 OF TRUNK NATION ON SIRIUSXM VOLUME IN THE BOOKS! MORE

Week one of the all new SiriusXM channel Volume (106) is in the books! It was a great launch and I am so happy to be one of the three anchor daily live shows with Trunk Nation live 2-4P ET Monday-Friday! First week of guests included Peter Frampton, Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick, Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction, Michael Anthony of Van Halen, John 5, Lars Ulrich and more! Next week we already have Frankie Banali, Jon Bon Jovi, Trevor Rabin & Rick Wakeman, Mike Portnoy and a TMS reunion with Don & Jim scheduled! Of course all could change but that’s the plan. The response has been great to this channel and my show and I appreciate it. I can’t wait to see where this all goes and start doing shows from the road. Week of 10/31 I’m doing it from LA. I want to thank all the callers and guests in week 1. Bring on week 2! Remember my daily show replays each day 9-11P ET and is also On Demand on the SiriusXM app. So many ways to hear it.

Remember my usual Trunk Nation on Monday’s continues as well on channel 39 at a new time of 5-8P ET Live starting this Monday.

My new podcast this week is the full interview with Lars Ulrich! Don’t miss it free worldwide on Itunes or www.podcastone.com . Just search my name.

I will be at Chiller with Don & Jim in NJ this Friday only 6-10P.

Have a great weekend

    Eddie,

Great show, love it and caught many of the shows this week. Keep up the great work!

One complaint though, not in your control, but maybe you can pass on to the powers that be: the amount of commercial breaks across the channel and especially on your show is excessive. After all, it is a subscription platform, not free radio. The commercial breaks unfortunately seem to stop your momentum, especially mid-interview as compared to the existing Trunk Nation show (39). Now, I understand the need for additional revenue via commercials, but if you compare to Opie Radio/Opie and Anthony/Opie and Jim, etc. over the years, they would have commercials to provide revenue, but could go a very LONG time without breaking. Can you please ask management on behalf of the fans to reduce commercial breaks and rely more on our subscription revenue? The show would be able to flow much better.

Also, I never saw the very first show On Demand. every other one is there but I wanted to catch this one. I caught the Lars interview on the Podcast though. DO you know if there was a technical glitch?

Thanks again, and overall this is great!

      Hi Noel,

I forwarded your message to Eddie, since he is super busy right now, and here was his response: “The channel is a week old so they are still figuring stuff out.”

      Hope that answers your question,

      D 🙂

Hey Eddie – Enjoyed the new show the few times I listened. Like all the shows on the new channel (but like above, there are to many commercials for a pay service, and it really does kill the flow of the shows).

I see that Mike Portnoy will be on today. Can you ask him if there will ever be a new Transatlantic Album. The bass player on Transatlantic, Pete Trewavas is the bass player for my all time favorite band Marillion who are actually touring the US now and will be playing the Play Station Theater in NYC on Election Day (Nov. 8th). If you’re around that day you should check them out after your show that day. Maybe you could even have some of the band members on as a guest. They are still going strong, and have been recognized as the 1st band to take advantage of Crown Funding (The fans financed one of their US Tours, and have been pre-ordering their albums for years).

    Keep up the great work

    Andy
