10/22: BACK FROM BRAZIL, 30TH PARTY TOMORROW, AAF EVENT IN BOSTON, CHILLER, MORE

Back from Brazil. SO much to tell you guys but time is short as I change gears and prepare for the big listener 30th Anniversary party tomorrow night with The Winery Dogs and TONS of surpirse guest jams! If you won tickets see you there. Doors at 7, show at 8. Can’t wait to celebrate 30 years of doing hard rock/metal radio with many fans, bands and friends in NYC at Hard Rock Cafe Times Sq tomorrow!

As for Sao Paulo is was AMAZING! I now see first hand what so many bands have told me about the passion of Brazil rock fans. TMS is huge there. Everywhere I went I was stopped by fans who watch the show. The Monsters Of Rock Festival was a great success. An honor to host it and connect with all the fans in Brazil finally. Obrigado! Also want to thank the promoters XYZ for making me part of it and making it all happen. SO many stories to tell and I will when I have time. Also TONS of pro photos by Ron Akiyama to be posted here soon and on Twitter and FB. Highlight? Hanging with Aerosmith of course, and those guys being cool enough to shoot a video with me and allow me to intro them on stage. Amazing, surreal! Quick note, Tom Hamilton was not feeling well and came home from the bands current S American tour. Ton recently fought cancer and needed some rest. Dave Hull did a great job filling in but get well soon to Tom!

I’m in Boston Friday at Tsongas Arena selling and signing both of my books for the AAF Thrillogy with Sammy Hagar, Buckcherry and Sick Puppies. I’ll be in the main lobby before the ticketed area so come say hello please starting 6:30 till around 8. I’ll be at the Chiller show in NJ this Sunday noon-4 selling and signing both books.

Much more when I get a chance to breath. Back live on the radio Monday. This Friday Q104 show all new but recorded.

Rock is not so popular here in Brazil, Eddie, this is the reason we are so passionate with the bands and with the ones who have the same passion, as you. We, rockers of Brazil, are a community who stays at home with our albums listening to good music and we only go to the streets when a great band comes down here, but when we do, we rock the world, and that’s what you saw. I’m glad you liked Brazil and wish you come back soon.

Great to see your back, Ed.
As I’ve said before, not many other than your family are more happy for your success!
As a listener since 1999, I still get pumped for the radio shows. They are like therapy!
I won tix to the 30th anniv. party, & hope I see you there, though not likely. It should be great. I of course will wear a classic shirt that only us long time listeners have!
Again, thanks for all you’ve done for this music.
I feel like your a brother. You rule.

Thoughts on Gene not wanting Ace and Peter around if they get inducted? any word on there reply to Gene’s comments calling them a cancer? Sour grapes on them not doing the documentary?
